BGEN Cardenas, USAF recognized in Distinguished Flying Cross Magazine
In the recently published Distinguished Flying Cross Society Winter 2022 Magazine, there is an article detailing the life of USAF Brigadier General Robert “Bob” Cardenas. General Cardenas passed away on his 102nd birthday in March 2022. This article covers his military and post-military life, including being part of the instrumental team who petitioned the VA for Miramar National Cemetery and seeing it through to its inception. Later, General Cardenas was part of our Board of Directors as we raised funding for the major projects at the cemetery. Our current Board of Directors Chairman, U.S. Army Veteran Denny Schoville wrote the piece about a true American hero and military advocate.
