Veterans Day 2025 Ceremony

Join us at Miramar National Cemetery as we “Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the End of WWII” and dedicate the Memorial Amphitheater after a major $900K upgrade project that was completed this summer. We anticipate WWII Veterans, Rosie the Riveters, and their families in attendance. The ceremonies start at 3:30 p.m. and there will be plenty of parking, seating, and the event is FREE to attend and open to the public!
The keynote speaker for the Veterans Day Ceremony is CAPT Steve “Shep” Shepard, USN, (Ret.). CAPT Shepard a 31-year career Naval Officer, and is the Founder and CEO of Carrier Sailor, LLC. He served on 7 different aircraft carriers around the world in peace, crisis, and combat operations, and held command positions both afloat and ashore. CAPT Shepard is a World War II expert, U.S. Army certified military historian, built and led multiple Pearl Harbor, Battle of Midway, and Berlin Airlift commemorations, and led a three-star flag officer battlefield staff ride in Normandy. Additionally, he served as the U.S. European Command lead for the U.S. Navy Normandy Monument dedication, including documentary filming.
