Francis (Frank) Tepedino

Frank Tepedino was born in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from the Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine in 1958. Frank served in the U.S Naval Reserve as an Engineering Officer and Crypto Officer on the USS DeSoto County (LST 1171). He joined the U.S. Merchant Marine Service and sailed as an Officer on various American Export Lines, ocean-going Passenger and cargo ships. During his time in the Merchant Marines, he traveled to over 34 different foreign countries.

Post-military, Frank earned his Degree of Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1974. He held senior management positions in procurements, contracts, engineering and finance for General Dynamics, Lockheed Corporation, National Steel & Shipbuilding, Pacific Power & Light. Additionally, he served as Corporate Counsel for FMC Corporation, and founded The Condor Group (a nationwide management training Corporation), and founded the La Jolla Institute of Public Speaking.

His memberships and associations include Member of the Bar of the State of California and Oregon, Member of the Bar of the US Supreme Court, Member of the National Model Railroad Association and Pacific SouthWest Region, and member of various professional and fraternal, as well as college and university alumni associations. He volunteers as a Judge for the Moot Court Competition – USD Law School , and California Bar; Attorney/Client Fee Dispute Panel, and serves as a lector at his church.

Frank is married with three adult sons and has lived in Tierrasanta since 1989.
