DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, March 25th at 9 a.m. \nIf you served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces (at any time) from November 1\,\n1955\, to May 15\, 1975\, regardless of location\, then this day is for you – National Vietnam\nWar Veterans Day. Every year on March 29th\, our country gives a long overdue THANK YOU and honors\nVietnam veterans\, and their families\, for their service and sacrifice. \nHere in San Diego County\, it is estimated that approximately 60\,000 Vietnam Veterans live among us.\nWe should thank our veterans every day for defending our freedoms\, but especially on this day\, this\ngeneration of American men and women deserve two words – Thank you! \nPlease join us at Miramar National Cemetery on March 25th at 9 a.m. for a special ceremony to truly\nsay thank you to you and your family. While you are on the cemetery grounds\, please visit the Vietnam\nVeterans Memorial on our Memorial Walkway.

At Miramar National Cemetery\, there are over 30\,000 veterans and their families interred. While on the hallowed grounds\, attendees will be able to visit the Memorial Walkway\, POW Liberation Memorial\, and Veterans Tribute Tower and Carillon. \nThe ceremony will include keynote speaker\, Vice Admiral Daniel Cheever\, Commander\, Naval Air Forces/Commander\, Naval Air Force\, U.S. Pacific Fleet; music by Westwind Brass; Bugler; Bagpiper; and more. The ceremony is open to the public\, free to attend\, and there will be plenty of free parking.

DESCRIPTION:REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom. \nOn Saturday\, December 13\, 2025 (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony)\, Wreaths Across America will be at Miramar National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud. \nPlease review these announcements: \n1. ALL volunteer parking will be offsite\, unless you have a CURRENT DMV issued handicap placard. Please arrive at the cemetery no earlier than 8:15 am. Vehicles will be available to transport you to the ceremony. \nThe offsite location is the VA employee overflow parking area at 6435 Miramar Rd. This is on the eastbound side of Miramar Rd. Sun Diego busses will shuttle you to the cemetery from 7:30 and will conclude with the last bus leaving the cemetery at 11:30. \n2. If you have a loved one for whom you want to place a wreath\, and you did not sponsor a grave specific wreath before November 28\, 2025\, you will be able to place it after the ceremony. Next year\, make sure to sponsor grave specific before Thanksgiving for early family placement. \n3. You are invited to the cemetery to interact with representatives from the Veterans Health Administration (VHA)\, Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA)\, and Vet Center. They will be on cemetery grounds to answer questions about VA benefits and pre-need determination of eligibility. SUMMARY:Memorial Amphitheater Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Following the MNC Open House\, guests are invited to dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony at the newly-renovated Memorial Amphitheater. The Support Foundation recently completed an upgrade that cost over $900\,000 and was made possible by donations from the public. The improvements maximize the use of the amphitheater and allows for greater value and use of the land. The upgrades provide permanent seating for 500 guests attending large-scale events and funeral services\, updated ADA walkways\, and new environmentally-friendly landscaping to the Flag Assembly Area of the amphitheater.
